How do I transfer a domain?

Transferring a domain name from your current registrar to DomainDonkey is simple and pain free. If you are transferring a .uk domain you can take advantage of our FREE transfer in. All other domains have to have another years registration added to them, but at out prices that isn't much to pay to move your domain and get another year added to it! To transfer a domain follow these steps: 1. Request an EPP code for the domain from your current registrar (not required if a .uk domain - see step 9) 2. Click on the Transfer link (top left of every page). 3. Enter the domain you would like to transfer (eg domaindonkey.co.uk) and click on check. 4. The system will check the domain to make sure it is already registered. 5. When the check is complete click on Order. 6. On the next page you can enter your EPP code (not required for .uk transfers), set your nameservers and click on Add to Cart. 7. Click on Checkout and then follow the easy checkout. (Please note that you will have to select a payment method for the free transfers but you will not need to enter any payment details). 8. You will receive confirmation emails when the order is complete and also when the domain transfer has been successful. 9. If you have transferred a .uk domain you will need to ask your current registrar to retag the domain to DOMAINDONKEY. |
